Brothers and Sisters in Christ, forgive me for my tardiness on getting this report to you this month. This past month and last few weeks have been a bit demanding for my family and business so we trust God and praise Him in all circumstances as we know His Grace and Love is sufficient to carry us through these times.
Praise God for His work through CSC this past month. As you can see above and below, God has had our native missionaries busy, assisting the local churches, showing films and changing lives all over the world. It is a privilege to send you these testimonies and an evan greater privilege to partner with you in saving lost souls. Thank you very much!
Sri Lanka:
Bro. Amir and Bro. Nishanthan are requesting our prayers for this new CSC ministry work there in Sri Lanka. This month has been very challenging to the Tamil people as it is sometimes not possible to go out in the evening because of fighting between the government and the terrorists. Despite all this, they were able to present six film presentations this month and twelve people came to receive Christ.
India:
Bro. Abraham has been busy training four more film teams that will begin new wok for CSC in late June. All four film teams are located in North India, with three of these being near the Pakistan border and Kashmir. Kashmir is an area known for violence against the minority Christians living there amongst the Hindus and Muslims. The other brother will be near North Central India. Please continue to pray for all this new work God is lining up for us to be involved in.
Guatemala:
In North Guatemala, CSC has begun a new film team among an indigenous population of Keqchie people. They make up more than one million inhabitants. Because there is no movie in their language, our missionary is translating the words over a mic and intercom as he shows the film. Recently, they showed a film in school and the attendance was four hundred and fifty students. When the invitation was given, sixty-five students came forward to receive Jesus as their personal Savior. Please pray for Bro. Carlos and his helper Jorge.
Panama:
CSC has been chosen by the National Police to work alongside the Christian Officers in one of the most difficult areas of Panama. The area is so dangerous that it hs been described as a red zone. The Christian police believe that the gospel is the only solution. Because movies/film are so popular, they know the masses can be reached, people saved and a church started to change the direction of these peoples eternity. Please pray for this new work there in Panama.
Prayer Request:
- For designated money to purchase more equipment, video projectors, generators, sound systems, etc.
- For the safety of all CSC native missionaries and their families as they do this demanding work
- For more native missionaries to do this great work
For His service,
N Patrick Calhoun
