Friends and family of CSC:
For the month of August, many of our film teams have faced much
resistance as never before. Praise God for this opposition as our
film teams are making progress by saving Souls from a Burning Hell
to a Believers Heaven as they labor just outside the gates of Satan’s
Hell. Thank you for your faithful prayers and offerings toward our
efforts each month.
ECUADOR:
CSC was invited by a local Church to travel six (6) hours to a mountain area in Ecuador. There is also a Catholic church near the mountain. As our team began to show Passion of the Christ film, the Priest of the Catholic Church came passing by and began to disrupt the film showing. In addition to him, he also gathered others to assist him in yelling to the attending crowd to stop watching the film and leave. Later, many of those who had been yelling begin to throw stones and came after our missionary with sticks to stop the film. Our missionary decided to turn off the equipment, pack and move to another location away from the Catholic Church. In this different location, more than 100 people followed and when the invitation was given to receive Salvation, 58 people came forward to receive Jesus.
INDIA:
In the Northwest States of India, next to the country of Pakistan, our missionary was showing a film. Halfway into the movie, the local authorities approached him and confiscated our/his equipment. After a long struggle they returned the equipment. In these states, the authorities are all Hindu or Muslim and they always give the Christians problems, especially in trying to do outdoor evangelism using the films. Please pray for our Missionary Brother in Christ, . as he risks his life to proclaim the Gospel in his country.
INDIA: (ANDAMAN & NICOBAR ISLANDS SITUATED IN THE BAY OF BENGAL)
Our missionary and his team recently showed a film in an area of the
main island. As they started the film, one young man by the name of
Vijayan who was a devout Hindu, began to object their presence in
his community and strongly opposed the movie showing. To avoid any
problems, the team decided to relocate the film showing to another
area. After the team had moved, re-setup and began showing the movie,
Jesus, they discovered the same young man that had caused them to
move was sitting among the watching crowd. In the part of the movie
where Jesus begins to perform miracles and teachings, they can tell
from watching him that he was keenly interested and touched by what
he was seeing on the screen, especially the healing of the old mother
at the Jerusalem Temple. Once the movie reached the part showing the
crucifixion scenes, he began to cry and weep. When the movie was over
and the invitation given, this same young man makes his way to the
front and asks the team to pray for his wife who had been suffering
from asthma and terrible breathing problems for more than 15 years.
After the team prayed for her, he invited them to come go to his house
so they could pray with her. As they prayed for this dear woman, they
experienced the divine power of God healing her miraculously. Afterwards,
the couple both received Jesus as their Savior and the team encouraged
them to attend the Church near by in order that they could be water
baptized. Praise God for this remarkable experience our team witnessed
and the eternal impact they are making on the lives of these islander
people.
PLEASE PRAY
That our film teams will find favor with authorities and people who try to stop the film showings.
For the safety of our teams as they travel to and fro showing the films.
That many unsaved people will attend the film showings and find salvation through Jesus Christ.
For the sake of the SON,
N. Patrick Calhoun
